The “Arizona Sunrise” logo, a concept I designed from scratch, is the logo I’ll be using for my 2010 election campaign. Though I have not made an official public announcement, I wholly intend to run for the Office of Governor in 2010 elections.
Since the gubernatorial race is always one of the most important elections, I felt it necessary to design a logo that represents the State of Arizona and pay tribute to the Arizona State Flag.
As you see above, the logo has a sun with red and yellow rays rising over the horizon. There is 13 stripes, which represent the 13 original American colonies. The upper blue segment portrays the expansive sky, which is Arizona’s unlimited potential through wisdom, creativity, and resources. The second blue portion, the lower half, symbolises the Colorado River that runs directly through Arizona. It represents flexibility and perseverance. The green lower patch is symbolic of Arizona’s growth and progress in the years to come.
When my campaign is fully launched, you’ll begin to see this logo on all campaign literature, including websites, brochures, fliers, print-outs, signs, and more.
The logo itself was created in Adobe Illustrator CS4. After days of the logo burning itself into my memory, I finally got to work and created it without much difficulty. I actually had to teach myself Adobe Illustrator in a few hours, before beginning work on the logo design. In the Ai files, different elements can be tweaked as necessary, including the front and rear glow effects.
For those interested third parties who wish to re-produce it, you may contact me for further details. Just leave a comment with your intended use. Make sure you include your real email address so I can contact you.
